An elbow with a fracture like mine...yeah it's hard to see.

Wow I was going to post but the vicadin is making me very sleepy....will add story about my fractured elbow in a bit.
[edit before another dose of pain meds] So forgive me, for the next week or three I will probably be typing with one hand since my left arm is now useless and here's why.
Trav and I are walking back from the station early Saturday morning, he came to burn CDs at the station. As we are walking we cut across a grassy section to get to Sewall since I had to go back there and start moving. They just cut the grass a few days ago and it was still wet from the random Spring showers.
As I make my way from grass onto the concrete path, I feel my left leg come out from under me and I fall before I can even catch myself. My right hand did jet out for balance as I fell but it was too late, esp since I landed mostly on my left side. I get the 'oh shit' feeling as I am mid-air as I see grass and concrete. I feel my head hit the pavement and I am on the ground. I try to get up and my glasses fall off, they broke when I hit my head. My left arm hurt, really really bad. Trav is next to me asking if I am okay. I stayed there for a moment trying to see what happened and what I can do to get up without hurting my arm, I was in a bit of shock.
I get up. I touch my head where it hit concrete, a little blood but not bad. My left arm feels like something is messed up. I knew I hadn't broken it because I didn't feel nauseas. Trav help me make a sling from my sweatshirt, and I call my dad.
About an hour later, I'm in the ER. Everytime I've been the ER/Hospital, I think of Scrubs.
They ask me questions before I go in, the new one I got was "Is there anyone at home who is abusive toward you?" I was thinking "What? No. And if hypothetically a kid is being abused, great question but should you ask it front of parents?? Stupid." I am admitted and they make me do a series of movements to determine what I damaged. I find out I can't twist my wrist at all or lift my arm much higher than mid-torso amoung other things. They wheel me in the bed to the X-ray room, on they way there I couldn't help but giggle and wheeee and tell the nurse the shortened version of the last time I when was in wheel chair after getting my tonsils out. On the way back I told the other nurse that it must be fun to race the beds, he said just wait till the afternoon.
The X-rays were 'Hurt Arm Gymnastics', the ask me to do all the thing I couldn't do without immense amounts of pain, like thumb in air, palm to ceiling and bend my elbow tight. The X-ray come back, I have a radial head fracture. I have a crack in bone near the joint.
So the treatment. My arm is a sling for at least a week, maybe more. I have to make a physical therepay appoinment to go in at the end of that week. I have to ice at least three times a day, and keep it elevated (above my heart) when it's not in the sling, which gives me lots of pain to do and subsequently my fingers are constantly swollen. They gave my Vicadin for the pain. My head has a few scatches and a bump, but I am okay otherwise. My dad is supposed to watch for any "personality changes".
Now time to take a Vicadin, ice it and sleep. Night.
