What must the neighbors think?

Yesterday I was on a Indian music kick, I was listening to the Devdas and Bollywood Hollywood Soundtrack (or what I have of it) to bits. Now I am on a total German music obsession, I was getting ready this morning to Wir Sind Helden and David Bowie singing Heros in German. I found enough great music to make the second German Mix CD. I also found a new German Accapella group, they are very much like Wise Guys. One this I found that I was not expecting was Rasputina in German...I mean I guess it makes sense but I didn't know it exsisted.

It is like pouring rain outside, I am actually fairly happy because I hate it when it is really hot during the summer in Colorado...and I want to go to grad school in Arizona....oookay! *shakes head* Speaking of which I need to look up stuff about U of Hawaii, they are supposed to have a good planetary geology program. Okay and speaking of ASU, Lee e-mailed me...Eleanor's friend and I need to e-mail him back....and I almost forgot the crazy ASU TA STORY!!

So:
Clay and I went to Dairy Queen on the Hill and somehow were chatting about stuff (stuff is good) and I mentioned the really cool NASA photo vault on the ASU campus in the Geology building. It has all the photos from all the NASA missions from Apollo to the Mars Roves. Well we were just about to leave when this guys said "oh the NASA photo vault at ASU?"...and as it tunrs out he's a TA at ASU doing the more terrestrial and acheological stuff. He was nice, managing the Dairy Quen for the summer, wearing a Burning Man shirt, pretty weird guy overall.

And speaking on Burning Man...I wanna go.

What else has been going on? let's see....Calc 2 has been pretty bearable. We have our first exam on Monday but I have gotten really high if not perfect scores on the quizzes. This class is not too bad the second time with a good professor. I really should have taken the 10am section Fall Semester because I would have had this professor but I had Mineralogy then so...bummer. At least I know the material that is covered and what I need to study the most.

Work is work, I am going to put in a ton of hours tomorrow. It gives me tons of time to think and listen to music...most of what I do is second nature at this point. I'm still on my toes though when I work with chemicals....usually if it's anything stronger than HCl, the music gets turned off until I am done.....HF is scary...I really don't like working with it since I got the HF burn last summer.
(Hydrofluoric acid for those who don't know, if you get enough of it on you it can burn your skin, degrade your bones and make your heart stop.)

Talked to Amy...her'es the Amesie quote of the convo...I wa telling her how I bought Chobits ears for the Anime-con in Denver this fall. She was talking to her bro and me at the same time...
"Who would dress nicely to go to an anime convention? She's going in costume, duh! Oh Steppie I am so ashamed of you..."

Well I am going to play more of my latest re-addiction....NEOPETS!
