They had a Dia De Los Muertos exibit as you walked in and I stopped and looked at it. I nearly started crying, most of them were done by kids and very very touching and sad. I read one by a 7 year old girl that was the one that brought tears to my eyes...went something like this, "This baby is dead, and alone with nobody to be with her. She likes watermelons. She like flowers and eating grapes. I know this baby, she died, and she was my cousin."
I wanted to hug that little girl.
As I was sitting in the library, I saw a little walking white blanket out of the corner of my eyes, and hear a gurggling happy noise of a child. I looked around the right corner from where I was sitting and saw the tail end of a white blanket. I peeked around the other corner and saw a young boy about 3 years old smiling and gurggling with books in his little hands. He had a blanket on his head (like one of those ones with a hoodie top) and the rest of it trailed down like a cape. He smiled at me and gurggled and then walked back around and past the cubbie desk I was studying at. One of the books I caught the title of was "Godzilla". He made me giggle. He was so cute.
I love little kids. When they are happy, they make me smile.
