You think things are bad....

... and then you get hit by a truck.

It's one of those Murphy's Law things.

Okay well post pledge drive wrap-up. Made 70 watts on Saturday, 15 Watts Sunday, and 28 Watts for Culture Clash. 113 Watts total = $1,130 dollars. Nice, that's 1/50th of the pledge drive.

We made it, btw, at 6:01pm on Day 8, Friday (we are supposed to end at 6). A bunch of the managers went to Republic of Boulder, I had shrimp green curry, a long island ice tea, and a screaming orgasm (althought it was like a sex on the beach shot... not the screaming orgasms that Londyn, Amy, Daniel and I shared).

Okay so back to the title of this blog. Well today will be the 6th day I have spent in bed. I have been avoiding writing only because it takes far too much brain power to concentrate. Both my concentration and some motor skills have been shot. It is also hard for me to read much more than a paragraph. In order to type this I just have to focus all my attention on typing and stare at the keyboard to make sure I am typing correctly. Sucks.

Anyway here's what what has gone wrong. It started Saturday, I felt dizzy, tired, and my head was hurting when I got up. I got some black chai tea on my way to the station and figured the caffinee would help whatever was wrong. I did my show but something was really... off... I was trying to eject CDs while they were playing, cueing up things for no reason, etc. All the while I was extremely dizzy. My dad came up to Boulder and drove me home from the station because I was too freaked out and wonky to drive. When I got home, he worked on my computer and I just passed out in my bed, it felt like I was jet-lagged or something, so strange. After Dad left I spent most of the day in bed. Sunday was no different. I was able to get a sub for my show and spent a good portion of the day in bed. My dad came up again to help retrive my car from the Hill and get groceries.

Anyway I wen to the doctor on Tuesday, the verdict is that I have a middle ear infection, viral, "Labyrinthitis". I wish that ment that I was just stuck in a David Bowie movie surrounded by puppets.... but oh well. Although they say I have this, I actually don't exibit most of the symptoms... but instead have things that they can't explain like shaking, headaches, lack of fuctioning brain.... it's fun!
Oh yeah and they can't do jack shit to help me. And the best part, it can last up to a month. Fuck. Oh and standing hurts the most, then siting and then lying down I barely or don't hurt.

So I may an appointment with ENT... Ear, Nose and Throat. They are going to do a hearing test and consultation. My hope is that they tell me it's something else and they can help me or maybe they'll rule it out which means I am going to probably be getting another brain scan. I honestly just want this to be over and be back to somewhat normal but if they want to take my migraines they can do that while they're at it.

Here's what I have been up the past going on 6 days:
Sleeping
Plotting how the fuck I can maybe graduate now (doesn't look like I will)
Crocheting (I am almost done with a scarf...)
Checking e-mail

Movies Watched:
Revolt of the Zombies
The Brain the Wouldn't Die
Flash Gordon episodes
Dead Man Walk
The Monster Maker
Half of Chalte Chalte (my head was hurting trying to read subtitles for 2 hours)
The Eye 2

Video Games beaten:
Bard's Tale
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey (which honestly this game was kinda cool but like one big cut scene)

I have been going to work, if only for an hour or less. I've been driving there which takes all my energy and I probably shouldn't be doing but I don't think I could handle the bus right now.

Okay I need to lie back down.

Okay, so the downside of Labyrinthitis is that it does not, in fact, involve Muppets.

But look at the bright side! It also does not involve close up's of David Bowie's package, five feet tall and luminous.

This is perhaps not an altogether bad thing.

omg omg omg. How did you get Dreamfall? I WANT A COPY! Sorry that just really distracted me and got me all excited.

I already congratulated you on the pledge drive, but congrats again.

I've had Labrynthitis, it bites, but if you have unusual symptoms it's always good to seek a second opinion.

Good luck with everything, let me know if you need anything!!!
