Bad week, happy end.

So mein desktop ist kaput. It bit the bullet so to speak. I am currently computerless which sucks... a lot. Especially since my classes are partially web based.

ITS basically told me to get any info I can off my hardrives (a total capacity of 300 gigs) and then blow them away. Since I have had problems with my HDs in the past... it may be a hardware issue with these buggers.

My laptop needs a new motherboard. My dad is working on both my machines and trying to get at least one running.

Migraines all week. Now I am sick. I am trying to pump myself full of vitamins and fluids to kick it out of my system.

Vinyl Destination (the all vinyl day on 1190) was really amazing. I had a ton of fun with my show (Culture Clash) and Matt & Eric were was awesome and got a third turntable in the air room for the day. I hung out to see how they were going to install it and to get caught up on work, I drove Matt home afterwards (he called me "an angel"). I'd like to do an all vinyl day again in the future.

Last night I went over to Matt's house and played board games. I was in such a terrible mood from the crappy week and I was so glad to go over and just play board games. Matt, Ben and I played a few rounds of Frog Juice, Mag Blast, and a game of El Grande (I was sneaky and won El Grande). Ben had to leave and I went and picked up Chewy; we played a few games of Nuclear War (which is my new favorite... it's a card game and so much fun), we ordered food, played Hungry Hungry Hippos, and then TI. TI did not go well for me but I really didn't care. Matt had this massive army (had everything except the big war suns on the board which are like death stars) and Chewy won the game which was cool since he had never won before. We didn't finish until 3:15 in the morning (we had failed to realize how late it was). I took Chewy home and drove myself home.

This morning my alarm didn't go off... so I woke up at 6:52..... yeah.... I raced to the station. My head is all stuffy and whatnot... not fun. The medication I took last night before I went to bed and finally cleared my sinuses up about the time the band Paper Airplanes showed up for their live interview. It was off the cuff and really informal, they seemed to have fun though. I hope it sounded okay because I had to do the entire thing sans headphones (there were 6 guys, 4 mics and 3 sets of headphones). It was a little strange to DJ without them but I think it turned out okay.

I am taking off tomorrow, Max is going to sub for me so I can sleep in. yay.

Off to go home and sleep.

Oh and I saw two movies this week. One was Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run) which yes I have seen about a million times and is one of my top ten favorites. I have a new favorite as well that I saw this week called American Astronaut. It's kinda like Boy and His Dog-esc, black and white, and musical. Yes, I know, totally weird but hilarious. I found the soundtrack at the station today and I giggled.
