This week...
1) My date was wonderful, we are still a bit awkward which is cute.
Traffic going to Flatirons was a parking lot.
We went to dinner at the Canyon Cafe (everything else around the theater had a line way out the door and the lady at Gordon Biesch suggested Starbucks and Cold Stone when I asked her what else there was....um lady? that's not dinner food.)
We had to wait 20 min and we ended up talking a little to an older couple waiting to be seated and were irriated about the wait.
Canyon Cafe, we decided, is like the weirdest Southwestern/Mexican food. Travis had crab cakes, since when were there crabs in New Mexico in the last couple million years....? I had enchaladas. The chips were weird too, they has sweet puffed chips, blue and red corn chips and then sliced sweet patato chips. Albeit a bit odd selection for Southwestern food, it was extremely tasty. The "after dinner mint" was a white chocolate tamale, a stick of white chocolate wrapped in a corn husk.
We saw The Producers. We were way smarter than the movie line and got our tickets at a kiosk. The movie was packed, we showed up just at the end of the previews and found two seats in the very front row. So we got to see up Uma's nose. The movie is awesome, if you see it, sit through all the credits to the very end.
Now I am leaving out a lot of details, like he looked very handsome, the fact I was a hot mamma but was freezing cold when we were walking outside, when I was cold waiting to get into the resturant he put his arm around me and kept me warm, that we held hands the entire time walking around and sitting in the movie...
I dropped him off at Bear Creek. We sat in the car talking for a moment, we'd look at eachother kinda giggle a bit, then look away. We did this for a few minutes and finally we leaned over and kissed for a while.
2) We had band practice, I got a migraine. It was a bad night with my head, but Trav was sweet to me. We nearly decided to go to Vegas for Travis b-day but decided it was a bit too wild and crazy since school started in a few days.
3) Travis's Birthday adventure:
Jason, Adam and I went and picked up Trav. I gave him his presents which he liked (Smashing Pumpkins DVD, Mini-Passions kit, and a TaTu poster).
I was wearing a white button up shirt (with a black bra under it...sassy), a black corset piece (actually part of the shirt), short black skirt, knee high black and white argyle socks, black mary janes, black dog collar with a leash. I handed the leash to Trav and said "since you are always my bitch, tonight I am your bitch."
Travis looked very goth sexy. He had his black trenchcoat, black button up mesh shirt with a black t-shirt underneath, black pants, and shoes.
So we went out for sushi at Hapa around 3pm. The waitress screwed up our order and took off some of our bill and gave us free stuff, so we got 4 miso soups, a 69 roll (trav and mine's fav roll, it's very good), eel, california rolls, tuna rolls, salmon rolls, two bowls of edamame, fried calimari and my flask of Sake....all for $26 for the 4 of us.
We then went to Barts and wandered a bit, I was a wee bit tipsy from the Sake. I bought Richard Harris's "A Tramp Shinning" on vinyl. It's the on with "MacArthur's Park" on it.
We then headed off to Trav's place, as we walking to Jason's car, Ben called out from across the street, I waved and said hello.
The drinking began at Trav's place. We did shots, I had a few malt liqour drinks, etc. Adam felt like we were imposing on Travis's roomates so we decided to come back to the dorms. I was freezing walking back and so Travis and I switched coats which was funny because it was my furry drag queen coat. Everytime Trav and I started to kiss or makeout, Jason and Adam would yell at us.
We had a fun night, went to the cemetary on the Hill drunk, watched 24 hour party people (trav fell asleep in my arms). Trav and I layed on my futon which I pulled down onto the floor and talked for hours before falling asleep.
Next morning we went to Denny's. That was fun. Or waitress screwed up again and we got all of our meals for $26, we gave her a huge tip cause she was hungover too.
3) I saw mennonites at Starbucks. The title of this blog is a quote from Travis when I told him the mennonites were at Starbucks in downtown Denver.
4) Travis and I have been going to the gym together. yay workout buddy! it's been fun.
5) Another date tomorrow, movie night at my place, some drinks and popcorn. It'll be a nice.
6) Radio production class is the fucking bomb already. I love it. My final, make a roots segment. (Roots are these 3-5 min long spots we play on the air about a band/artist that has been influencial, ie. Sex Pistols, David Bowie, etc.) I think I will most likely do Pizzicato Five.
Current Mood: Extremely happy and content.
Current Music: Socker - Kent (off of Vaspen & Ammunition), perfect for snowy weather.
