Updates, updates

Figured I clue you all in to what has been going on as of late...

My arm, still hurts and still can't extend it fully. Most of the time I don't notice it unless I try to put some weight on it or tweak it funny. The doc said it should be completely healed in another 3 weeks. Probably won't have to do surgery unless somehow I mess it up.

I got migraines again. Two in the last few days. I was going to go to the gym and bellydance class today and unfort my body had other plans. Murphy's Law of Migraines, when you have something to do, you get one. I am going to go back on my preventative meds and hope that stops them.

My dad has a girlfriend, first time in 16 years since my parents divorce. Best of all, it's Auntie Kate (not really my ant but my dad's best friend that we've known since the divorce, she's like my second mom). It's a little odd since I have never seen my dad kiss a woman (because I don't remember a whole lot from before the divorce other than fighting) and he's never had a girlf, but I'll get used to it. I love Auntie Kate and that's the main thing (my dad has has some bitchy past dates).

Been playing Halo 2 when I can. Met a few other chicks who play and they invited me to join their all girl Clan called "HaloBabes". I played the other night with this one gal, her husband and this other guy we met during a random team snipers game. Turns out, we all suck at snipers but didn't quit. So we played a few games together, lost a lot (because we ended up getting another snipers game on the same map, much to our dismay), but we had a blast. I've been getting better, got a 14 kill killing spree before my first death on one game. I hope to do well enough in practicing that I can enter the local July tournament (I don't think I will be ready for the June one).

Finished an anime music video, I used the anime "Colorful" to Junior Senior's "Chicks and Dicks". Travis (Physics Travis) let me borrow "Outlaw Star" and "Witch Hunter Robin", so maybe I'll make some more AMVs. (We went out to dinner at Tokyo Joe's which was fun and unexpected). I need to find a good Japanese song to go with Red vs. Blue because the only way I can enter the competition is if it's Japanese animation or Japanese music or Japanese game footage. I am thinking maybe Fantastic Plastic Machine....

Speaking of Japan, I am looking further into the JET program. Been reading a blog about teacher there and his experiences and how students (ages 12-15) will ask you random questions about sex ("Do you play sex?") and other crazy stuff, like Kancho. At least I am warned. *laughs* I def still want to do it and I may try to take some Japanese before I graduate.
