I can't tell, is it me? It must be me cause I honestly cannot figure out what is going on.
I didn't think someone could take the buzz out of DJing but here I am....
So I have a "rotation" show at 1190. "Rotation" included the new 40+ albums we have at the station...so I got an e-mail from Milkman (he's the music director) and he wanted an explination for two sets yesterday morning (one 7 the other 9 songs) where I played one or no discs on rotation. Okay, my bad. But one set I was on the phone with Captain Obvious whom I haven't talked to in forever. It is just kinda annoying to me because it wasn't that I played all CDs of my own or whatever, most of what I play is stuff we have at the station. I was just going with the music, having fun with what I was playing. Apparently I have to meet the quota before I can have fun. I am not a machine.
I never swear on air. Never miss a Legal ID. Try to play a variety of genres. Try not have dead air. Put all my CDs away. Never steal. Always fill out the logs.
I wanted to bring Split Lip Rayfield into the studio but I think I am pretty much shot down on that because there is another band that weekend. I have little hope I can finally have a live band on my show.
I guess I am just a bad DJ.
Current Music: Does it matter?...
Current Mood: About to cry.

Hey,
I listened to part of your show this morning. :) I think you are a great DJ no matter how it may seem. I love you!
*hugs* it just sounds to me like Milkman is looking to cause trouble. We all know you're a great DJ, Steppie Lee! :-)
