I'm coming undone.

No not really. But I think I have decided that I am bit emo.

Apparently the emo kids hang out at thrift stores and I knew that when I got these new glasses I was begining to cross the emo line...but damn I look so hot in them.

I usually don't like to use labels but I have been trying to figure out what my vintage/work shirt/goth/demi-punk style was....it's pretty much emo. I am definately more underground that the average emo kid. For example...I think Blink 182 should be banned from ever releasing another song...but then again are they emo? they sure as hell aren't punk. Anyway I much more of a Death Cab/Cure sort of pop-emo. Plus I would never own a pair of Deisel jeans (cause for one they are hell expensive) unless I found a pair in a thrift store for $4.

Oh I guess I should define emo:
"
The short and simple answer is that Emo is Hardcore Punk music with sensitive and emotional lyrics. The music is epitomized by post-Grunge, edgy rock with explosive energy mixed with sensitivity. Emotional lyrics about sadness, love and even anger are common lyrical themes. There is also a subculture of young people that are considered Emo. The casual Emo garb is faded blue jeans or slightly oversized work pants accompanied by a secondhand T-shirt with an out of place logo, bad Heavy Metal tees work well too. Good shoes would be Converse Chuck Taylor low-tops or old skool low-top Vans. The more extreme clothes of choice would include horn-rimmed glasses, cardigan sweaters, dorky polo shirts, pants that are a bit too short and hair that is spiky or messy in the back with straight cut bangs."

Took a few quizzes:
Take the quiz: "How emo are you?"

Holy Shit Your Emo
Holy shit you actually are emo! Congratulations on not being a poser.

I AM 58% EMO!
58% EMO
Well.. I've made the cut! Now I'll go buy some promise rings and knit myself a sweater.

That being said I think I more of the emo clothing style than the music....cause we all know that I have just a crazy taste in music and listen to everything. I googled the word "emo" on the pictures and found myself liking the outfits in just about every picture that came up.

Speaking of emo...I really need to re-dye my hair. I should do that over break...
I haven't decided what I am going to with it this time, I am debating between redoing the red bits in the front or doing all over dark brown, slightly darker than my natural color (with red highlights maybe?).

So duty sucked last night only because I was up till 2am. yuck.

I talked to Jeff (Acid Lounge, 1190 DJ) the other night, he randomly IMed me which was nifty. I think it'll be fun to talk to him more.

I hav tons of stuff to do today including finishing up the last bit of my geology project and study for the Structure lab final (ew.) which is tomorrow. And I need to clean. Plus write up a couple of music reviews for DIRT that are also due tomorrow. And do a write up for Undercurrents Film Team cause I will need to edit and make a segment for that.

Also need to check when I am on duty next....it might be Tuesday which would kinda suck cause that is the night of Mary's b-day and I really wouldn't mind going to the Dark Horse and kickin back a beer with some cool folks. It'd be a nice de-stresser. But then again I might have duty on Monday which would mean missing going to the Fox Theater Holiday Party that I got a random invite in my mailbox at the station....it's Rose Hill Drive and Analog Quartet...and it's by invite only concert. The theme is "dress to impress" and I have no idea what to wear if I do go....meh.

Well better get back to paying attention to the boards....I think I post alot when I am DJing.
