Sondre Lerche

He's so pretty and talented.
Posted by Hello

I met Sondre Lerche....again!!! He is a really nice guy.

I was going to leave and not wait in line with the mega obsessive (I'm only slightly) fans and wait till they finished drooling over him so I could say Hi. As I was walking out he was standing to the side letting people pass. I stopped quickly to shake his hand and let him know it was a great show and thanked him for playing "Don't Be Shallow". I was sad at the last show (in May) that he didn't play it. It is like my anthem right now. Anyway Sondre was really sweet and thanked me a few times and said he was glad I liked it. I hope if he comes through town again that I will have a digital camera and I'll bring Larry.

The Trilogy is an AWESOME venue!! Once again there were only 75 people at the concert. It is a small little bar, concert stage area and so nice. I was in the very front only a foot away from the bands. The opener was Golden Republic. I bought a CD and a t-shirt and got to meet some of the band members afterwards and chat. They are a nice group of guys with a kickin sound. I also got a very pretty dark olive green Sondre t-shirt. The ones at the last show (which I didn't buy) were a dark brown and I couldn't see in the low light what color these were so I assumed. I was happily surprised when I go home that the t-shirt is my fav color (well one of my fav colors).

Sondre was without his band Faces Down this time (he called it the budget tour) so for most of the show he played solo. He did a couple of old tunes like "Moonlight" and another crooner tune by Charles....someone.....he just sang them and his voice is marvelous. Then for songs like "Two Way Monolouge" and "Don't Be Shallow" along with many others, he played with Golden Republic who acted as his rockin backing band.

Oh and for you 80's new wave fans.....Sondre had an A-ha t-shirt on underneath his button up shirt (which he took off for the encore...his button up shirt I mean).

Sondre told a story about going to Target today which I thought was rather amusing, and what is really funny is that I almost went to Target today but I couldn't think of a good reason why....I just really wanted to go.

I'm sure I would have caused a scene if I saw Sondre at Target. I'd probably be in shock for a minute and then walk up and say hi...or jump him...either way....

Anyway it was an amazing concert. I bought a ticket to go see Devotchka at the Fox on Saturday. I am sorta bummed cause I can't find anyone to go with me. It's a 21+ show and the only one that would want to go is Ben...and I haven't heard back. So I guess I'll go by myself, I don't mind but it is always fun to go to a concert with friends. Plus I have been DYING to see Devotchka live. It'll be my 4th concert this month.

Tonight deserves a woot.......WOOT!
