Devotchka

I went to the Devotchka concert last night at the Fox.

It rocked my socks!

There were some interesting people I talked to at the concert....interesting and at times slightly creepy. But I did see Kirk (another 1190 DJ) and we talked for a bit.

The opening band was Pacific Pride, and they were a pretty nifty rock-pop trio. And then DJ Dario played inbetween bands. He played a fun combo of 60's pop tunes.
I wanted to steal his records. ;)

Devotchka was just friggen awesome....they played a great set. They played "Queen of the Surface Streets" and "The Enemy Guns" amoung other of my favorite songs. The concert was really fun and kinda sureal. If I had a band, I'd want it to be like Devotchka...they came out in suits and Jeanie had a really neat dress, and it was sort of a 1920's feel. I want to see them again because it was so great. Hopefully they will play an all ages show so I can drag people. :) Also it wasn't very crowded either. Quite nice.

I bought a t-shirt, it's a baseball tee. They also had another baseball tee that I really like that said "Tuba Girl" on it (that is Jeanie's nickname)...but it was pink....like powder pink...so no.

So in short Devotchka rocks.


And it is still snowing. It started yesterday afternoon and has been going ever since.
