John's going away party and my new fav class...

So the general manager for the radio station, John, is leaving. I think I mentioned this before and I am pretty upset that John is not going to be there. I got an e-mail this evening that is going away party is *drumroll* that night I am on duty! And *drumroll* was going to be at Loki and Jeff's house! So I IMed Richard and we switched duty so I am SOOO happy I can go. I am going to miss John a bunch, and this means alot to me that I can go. Richard rocks! Like granite!

Today I had THE coolest class outside of rocks and stars, it's called Introduction to Islam. Wow do I love it already! We only had like a 30 min lecture becasue we were going over class stuff, but I learned so much in that period of time. I am also so so so glad that I am not at all religious. The proffesor is attempting not to offend anyone eventhough he himself is Christian and we have Christians, Muslims, and Jews in the class. I think it is great though, my only limited knowlege of religious text is actaully a good thing. For example he stated "Allah is Arabic for God." then he asked "Where did Jesus Christ live?"....people answered "Well, middle east"...he asks "What did they speak?"....people answered "Arabic"...and then he asked "What did Jesus call God then?"
I love how he used that to drive home the point that Muslims are not any different then Christians or Jews but the fact that Muslims are an all incopasing religion. I am really excited to read parts of the Qur'an. I think I am going to check out a copy during this class and try to read it on the side as well. I really like reading about other religions but not really adopting one.
I have a feeling that alot of people who were uncomfortable with this class are going to drop it and I am sure there were a few.
