The fun weekend!

Had a blast this weekend.

Friday night went Loki & Jeff's house on the hill. They have a the neatest little place. I absolutely love it. (Edward Gorey poster as you walk in the door, yay!, Burma Shave sign in the bathroom) I totally got all spiffed up since I hadn't had a chance all week to look nice. They (Ben and Mike) started a roaring BBQ fire and they cooked up hot dogs and burgers.

I talked to a couple people from 1190 or somehow realted to 1190 that I had never met before. I met one guy Mark who is a new DJ and is going to CU-Denver for Music Buisness. He took over my old 1-4pm Friday spot. I also talked to Justin who is a friend of a new sub DJ at the station. Justin is an engineer who just got back from a semester in Eygpt. He was a really neat guy to talk to as well, I hope I see both of them again soon. I talked to Milkman and Joel for a while, we talked mostly about our common stalker...Joseph. We laughed and we equally creeped out. Some people were pretty gone at the party, there was a keg and some hard liqour. Yeah when you get booze in alot of 1190 DJs and other folk, they start hitting on the girl in the black mini-skirt.

The music was great at this party (duh). Loki was playing great alt-fok and alt-country tunes out on the deck and Jeff was spinning inside in the living room.

Talked to Loki a bit. He (and a few others) complimented my outfit. Loki thought my rapidly fading Henna tattoo looked really cool. They now have a fire breathing little person in their carnival show (formerly on the Rocky cast), Crispy Family Carnival is going to travel to a Carnival convention. I love carnival life, wish I had some freaky talent. Anyway, before I left I said bye to him and he made sure that was okay to walk back to Sewall and offered that if I wanted I could crash on the couch at their place. I assured him that I was fine and walked back to Sewall around 10pm. I had to DJ myself at 7am.

Walked back to Sewall which was really okay (except my shoes were being a bit annoying). It stopped drizzling as I walked back. I came back and totally crashed. Had to deal with some things at 3am with CUPD, but it comes with the job.

Saturday I DJed, and slept a bit, did some homework. Went to Jason and Adam's house warming BBQ. Christy, Ali, Shaula, Trista, John, Adam, Amanda, Jason and I were all there..oh and Xander (Amanda's dog). We had fun and laughed alot. It was a great time. Amanda helped me with my homework afterwards, which was invaluable. Structure lab is so hard!

Sunday I DJed and was more awake this time. As I was leaving Sewall I glanced back at the building and Kevin was sitting in his room near the window. He saw me look and waved. I stopped and said Hi, he asked what I was up to and I told him DJing and he said he'd listen. Later, Dad came up and I got his old record player so I can FINALLY listen to all my new records. He also gave me one of the old printers we having lying around so I can print out stuff. We ran a few errands and then drove down to L-wood. I got to see Auntie Kate and Eilane, they came over and we all ate some of Auntie Kate's very yummy homemade peach cobbler.

Dad and I went to a concert down in Denver at the Paramount Theater. We saw Ozomatli, Kinky and Plastina (sp?) Mosh. OMG it was one of the best shows I have ever been to. They all totally rocked it. And most of the concert and the band talking to the audience was in Spanish, I still had a total blast. All three bands have electronic, hip-hop, funk, latin, and middle eastern influencs in their music, it was like going to a concert where there is a song from every genre. Great great show. I got back up to Boulder by 1am.
