Harisu and the Har Mart

He makes a pretty good woman. 

Sunday I went to a Korean Market called the Har Mart with my dad. This place rocked. They had everything. They were making Kimchi (they had 5 different types there for sale), food, clothes, videos, candy and music.

I wandered over to the music section after we got some gorceries. The man who ran that section of the store told me it was Korean music. I told him I was interested in Korean music and wondered if he could recommend anything. He picked up two CDs and said "This one. This used to be a man. Was man, now woman. Got all surgical stuff, and now a woman."

I bought it.

Her name is Harisu. She is on of the first (if not only) Korean transexuals celebrities to publicly annouce that she indeed used to be a man. If I had bought the CD without the man at Har Mart telling me, I wouldn't have know. If you don't beilieve me, see for youself or look up "Harisu" on google pictures. It's hard to tell.

Her music is good. Sorta dance/hip-hop, my personal fav song of the album is called "Foxy Lady".
The English portion of the lyrics goes "Foxy Lady it's me...Foxy Lady come with me...Focy Lady come on".

Also while I was llooking for information on Harisu, I get the feeling that she plays on her transgender role. Some of the pictures are like her in a bikini with a guy standing next to her, as if she's saying "yup I used to look alot more like him".

Well I should go, I need to clean and actually eat something. And do homework. :P
