I'm normal, please date me...

I still think this shirt is false advertising...I am not normal. ;)

Anyway, classes started today. I think I am going to love all my classes.

In Cartography (aka Cart 1) we are going to use photoshop....all of my years of practice making awesome and funny graphics will totally pay off (no idea what I am talking about?...visit: Larry's Site). We are using ArcGIS as well and Henrietta's lovely class last semester has prepped me for that. I love Henrietta, she rocks...seriously. One of the best geo profs.

Speaking of which, I am the only geology major in the Cart class. Everyone else is Geography and Enviro. The guy next to me (Nick?...I think that's his name) used to be a geology major but he just switched, he couldn't handle the math.

Prof Lewis is pretty cool. The Sewall clas will be kinda interesting, I am kinda unsure what to expect. But it is one of 3 classes where I get to watch films in class.

My world musics prof is kinda crazy, I like it. I may take the second World Music (with Asain/Australian focus) in the Fall if I can. Just cause I love j-pop, aussie music, etc. But I figure this class will expand my horizons with South American and American music. I got really excited when I saw that we will study Muddy Waters and Woody Guthrie. w00t. Plus we have to listen to stuff, how fun is that!?

Representing the Holocaust will also be very interesting. I have been wanting to take this class for years because I have a deep interest in the Holocaust. I've read about it and studied it both on my own and for classes. I've also created a few pieces of art with a Holocaust theme. The teacher for the class is quite soft spoken and seems like a pretty cool guy.

I have labs tomorrow...Cart and then Experimental Physics (which I am *bleep*ing waitlisted for! argh!!! I am not sure I'll get in since it is a small class).

Thursdays I am free! yay!! well, you know....except for staff meeting...lol.

Like I said in earlier posts the party was postively fab. I had a great time. I really need to get that t-shirt (or make one) that says "Don't fuck with the DJ". Mike came up and tried to mess with equipment at one point when I was DJing (because poor Jeff was so stressed about people messing with his equipment...but apparently he trusts me enough to use it). Now Mike is like black belt in Ju-Jitsu (sp?), really strong (which doesn't impress me at all) and anyway he came up and tried to mess with stuff...

Mike: *reaches for a level on the mixer*
Me: *smacks his hand hard* No!
Mike: What???
Me: Don't mess with the equipment...*glares* This is Jeff's stuff and I don't want you to touch it.
Mike: Whoa....getting all touchie are we? *puts his hand on my arm and uses his other hand to reach for the mixer*
Me: *pushes his hand off my arm and smacks his other hadn hard* Mike. Knock it off.
Mike: Awww...common....
Me: Don't touch the equipment. *pushes Mike forcefully away*
Mike: What?? I just want to...*reaches again*
Me: Mike. Don't fuck with the DJ. Back off, I am warning you *pushes him away again really hard*
Mike: Whoa...what the hell?
Me: I told you back off. Don't fuck with the DJ.*gets up in his face* I said, Don't mess with the equipment. k?
Mike: Fine....whatever...*walks off*

Later Kirk (another DJ at the station) was playing with the mixers and sound which sounded awesome, I gave him a high five and was cheering him on to do it again. Mike came up and said "what the hell? what, he can touch it??!?" I replied, "Yeah Mike, cause he's a DJ..." Mike said "Yeah? Well I am a DJ too!" All I had to say was a cold firm "Mike....you are not a fucking DJ." And he finally backed off.

Off to play pool cause Phil and Clare want to!

Current Mood: happy!
Current Music: "Weak Become Heroes" - The Streets with Rokysopp (Been listening to this song all day walking around campus...that and the Run Lola Run Soundtrack)
