Free sex on the beach from the waiter and I stapled a dollar bill to a man's stomach!!

Think I am kidding? Read on...there's that and MORE!

My Birthday Re-cap:

First of all, thanks to all who showed up...we nearly split our sides laughing the whole night.
Second, I did not get a hangover, hell I wasn't even tispy. :)

It was a dark and stormy night...well no not exactly, it was clear and wonderful night and you could see the full moon downtown. Walking downtown I got a few compliments like one lady told me that I "looked really really beautiful". Everybody was looking at me, not a bad thing. Until I get the photos from Rachel...well no I won't describe my outfit...you get to wait. ;D

Anyway dinner was fabulous! The people there were: Rachel, Annie, Londyn, Ian, Hannah, Amy, Eleanor, Melanna, Clay, Jason (paleo), Alexa, Mark, Amanda and Adam. We went to Rockbottom Brewery and they seated us in our own private area. I had a really wonderful chicken and penne pasta dish. The waiter was really cool and very helpful. I didn't know what kind of beer to order, so par his suggestion I got the sampler and got 4oz each of the 7 beers they have to offer (about two beers worth). We called them "beer shots" and the gross beers I did as such. I really liked two, the Buffalo Gold (I know, ironic?) and the Brewmaster's Special (which was the darkest, and I am surprised). So I ate my food and drank...sloooooooooooooooooooooooowly.
me: *sip*
everyone: DRINK IT ALREADY!

The gifts were awesome! Thank you all, I am so happy. And I got cool rocks too...I think I am going to leave the bow on the rock from Ian just for funny sake. Yeah Agate! Another SiO2 buddy!

I made everyone stand up and introduce themselves and like I said we laughed so hard that night, really good group. As Jason said and I whole heartedly agree, "we need to hang out with your friends more offer...your friends are so cool." Old inside jokes were shared new ones made (...it's Bailey and Irish Cream!...then my favorite after the whole fiasco was "what is a car bomb?").

Londyn made the best cake ever! She spent 4 hours decorating it and you could tell, the cake was just amazing! Londyn give up dance and become a chef! :) And I loved the frosting! ( I have issues alot of times with cake and frosting)

The waiter told me that since we provided our own dessert, which they usually buy for the birthday folk, he'd buy me a drink instead. Ian didn't want one.
waiter: what do you want?
me: I dunno. Something fruity and girly, that doesn't taste like alcohol?
waiter: sex on the beach?
me: (is that a proposition or a drink? ;) ) sure!
....later....
me: *sip* ooooo...*GULP* OOOO!!
everyone: *laughing*

Londyn said that the funniest would be to order a virgin sex on the beach.

We played with the pregnant Barbie that I bought Annie. Made a toast ("To absent friends!" *pause* "Daniel and Matt!!"). And I was accosted by a drunk lady, which was really funny ("Happy Birthday hunny! You have fun. *wink*")

Outside we took pictures and as we were getting 3 or 4 cameras shots, a group of asian tourists walked by with video cameras and cameras of their own. They paused and took pictures and video...so my 21st birthday is on some Korean woman's trip to America. woot!!

Most people had to disperse :( and so Annie, Amy, Rachel and I hit the second part of the evening (Amanda, Adam and Jason were going to come but poor Amanda felt sick). I had to get my stuff from Amanda's car so I walked there and back. I got some more risque comments like "you look hot baby, really really hot...like damn you look hot all over!" but a few nice ones "darling you look fabulous!", and hell it is downtown...I did go to school and spend a ton of time on 16th..I know what it's like.

Oh and so as it turns out, Annie knows Loki. Apparently the whole Rocky cast is going after Loki. I SAW HIM FIRST! *laughs* But Annie thinks he is too old for me and than might be the case. We don't know exactly how old he is.

Why do I go after men who are entirely unobtainable?

ANYWAY, The second part of the evening lead us to 17th and Vine and to the lobby of Theater Du Quirque (which lemme just say now....I LOVE THIS PLACE!). We were greated by the perky tits and nifty corset of our ticket agent who was super lovely and since Loki didn't get my name on the guest list, gave a us a two for one birthday special. I felt so perfect at this place, partially because I was dressed for it but man, I do love it. Loki came out and talked to a bit to the crowd he saw me and said "Wow! Look at you, you look fabulous!" (and said similar comments a few times during the night). The show started which has now been reduced to three, Loki, Crispy (aka human pin cushion) and Boobzilla.

So for the first part Loki needed a volunteer....someone who he had never met before....someone who was willing...."someone who is having a birthday!" our busty ticket lady yelled...yeah someone who is having a birthday! I went up and Loki introduced me to the crowd and the crowd said Hi back. I was to inspect a bucket of broken glass "and I'd keep your gloves on" and make sure it was really broken and that it looked really sharp. I sat back down. They drug out a rug, spread the broken glass all over it and Crispy in his bare feet walked all over it and jumped on it.

Then for one part Crispy took and stuck two long pins and a safety pin through is skin (yeah like way through his arm really). For another part he caught his fingers in a mouse trap that was sharp enough to chop a carrot. And again with his sadistic ploys, he sword swallowed, stuck a pin down his nasal cavity and lifted a car battery with his nipple rings (after a funny strip tease).
f--king cool.

Rachel was the next from our group to be on stage. She sat in the "electric chair" and lit a floresent bulb up with her fingers...go Rachel!

Andrea also got to go up and go in the box, the old trick where you take and place a woman in a box and then insert blades into the box, 15 in this case (body piercing!!). They instucted her in the old carnie trick and she was cramped up in the box, in between blades. They collected money for Annie and bought her a drink.

During intermission Loki came up and talked to me for a bit and sung me a cute happy birthday tune. He asked if I was drunk yet (no....why??) . He asked if I wanted a shot and I said sure. "What are you having?" "No idea, what do you like?" "I do hard liquor shots but I'll get the bartender to mix you up something good." Marty (I think that was the bartender's name) mixed up a tastey lemonade shot for me (I don't know what is in it, he doesn't tell you what you are drinking..I think that is pretty cool actually).

I also talked to Kirk who is another DJ at the radio station who was there. I had never talked to him very much but he was really chit chatty and talked with me a bit ("So are you still doing stuff with the radio station?" "yeah I am DJ the Weekend Morning Show" "oh, so THAT is why I don't see you around much anymore..") and even before he left, he wished me a happy 21st birthday again.

After intermission Amy was forced to go up by the 3 of us. She got to test the sharpness of a bed on pins. Then Crispy layed on them. Then Loki broke a cinder block on Crispy's stomach. It was pretty impressive.

Loki then played a darts games...but kinda missed and got the darts in Crispy's back.

The next act was Boobzilla's turn. She is a 42 K breasted girl and she lifts things with them. She held phone books under them, and then carried a basket and people threw money and balls in the basket. Then as a final test, she picked up a chair. You are thinking what?? I have to see this! Yeah I didn't think it was possible either. All I have to say is, not with my girls.

It was the end of the show but they had one more act, Loki asked if you enjoyed the show, to go ahead and staple a $1, $5, or $10 to Crispy's stomach or chest. They were not kidding. Staple gun in hand I stapled a $1 dollar bill and said "I am so sorry" to Crispy as I did it. I cannot believe I stapled it to Crispy's stomach!! I may be a sadistic bitch, but that was a pretty cool way to remember my 21st birthday. And a they asked if anyone hada $20 they could staple it to Crispy's forehead, there were no takers so they cut the price in half and a man came up and stapled a $10 bill right above Crispy's nose on his forehead.

After the show I talked to Loki a bit and he hugged us all and thanked us for coming and apologized for not being able to come to dinner, asked how it went. I got my photo with him and Crispy. He asked us if we were going to Slim Cesna's Auto Club show but we told him we weren't sure what we were doing. I hugged him again and thanked him for inviting us.
The Crispy Family Carnival Side Show Spectacular....seriously...is there a better way to remember MY birthday?!

So part three, we planned to go to Rocky Horror Picture Show with Annie who was on cast that night but Amy's mom didn't want her out that late. We stopped by to say bye to Annie (who had left us a bit earlier after the show). I never have seen so many bondage outfits at the show!! I was like WTF? Cereal. No flaking. Both guys and girls. We ran into Jessica G. and said hi, met he boyf. Cool stuff.

We went and got gas and then hit up Matt's old work, Tom's Diner. The waiter was good looking and really funny (and with my luck, gay) (wait, it is Tom's we are talking about so yes).
He said, "omg....can I try on your gloves? I promise I won't stretch them out..." "Okay! In fact don't worry about it. I bet we have the same sized fingers. I have big hands and fingers for a chick." *we compare our hands by holding them up, exact same size* *he puts on the gloves* "ooooooo *pets his hands* oh wow, wowowowowowow....ooooooooooo!!! Okay I have to.. wow ....oooo! give them back....omg....I love them...wow." "Yeah my whole outfit is petable, even my hat." *he pets my hat* "ooo!"

Ate some food, played cheap East Colfax video games on this moniter next to our table. Had a probably drunk 40's male ask "how are YOU ladies doing?". Watched a green mowhawk punk kid reading Rolling Stone and talked to waiter. We also talked about alot of stuff including grad school/research stuff in Europe. I told them I am not sure if I want to end up working for ESA (European Space Agency) but it's always a possibility. Amy also mentioned this nanny website to go to other country's and nanny. I am going to look into it. I love little kids, I was in charge of 20 sixth grade girls who more makeup then me at Outdoor lab 24 hours a day for 7 days. Plus I always walk by the planetarium (or at the planetarium) and I love to watch the little kids. They just make me smile!!

That was basically the night, got home at 2am, woke up at 7am when Jessica (from the station, covering my show) called me (which I totally told her she could do) to check on some stuff. Listened to the whole morning show, Jessica rocks because she played so much j-pop and fun stuff! I need to download a bunch of 1190 shows and then rip track later.

Today's news:
I saw Auntie Kate (dad's best friend and my second mom) and Elanie (she's been our condo neighbor since I was little) today. They came over and gave me birthday wishes and I regailed them with tales of my crazy birthday. We laughed and they both agreed that is a great way to remember my birthday.

I went to my grandparents (dad's side) for my birthday celebration. Had a great lunch (classic grandma's roast beef and homemade french onion soup). Got some really cool stuff that will be excellent for DJing (both at the station and possible house). Two really old and wicked record carrying cases, dad said they were at Black and Read (one of my record/CD/book haunts) with like an inch of dust on them. Danny (the owner) didn't even know he hand them. I also got something I have been DYING to get and that is a converted.
I can now turn records into mp3 format. This rocks my socks. When I stop by the station on Monday I will have to talk to John (General Manager). Ask him if it would be okay once I get my player fixed to work out a deal so I can bring record home and rip them. He knows I am a total audiophile and record nut and has let me bring station records home before.

I also got one gift I have to talk about. My grandmother gave me a piece of jade on a gold chain. I recognized it imediately. It was a piece of jewlery I used to play with all the time when I was growing up. My grandmother had told me the story before that Uncle Jack (my great great uncle who was a geologist, gem cutter, railroad man, and fossil hunter...some of the things he found are in collection across the country) brought back a piece of jade from Rollinsville when they were living up there. He finally got a cutter in his older years and cut the piece and gave it to my grandmother this necklace when she was 15. She then gave it to me.
The amazing thing, and she doesn't know. I have very ditinct and vivid memories of playing with this piece of jade. We'd play in my grandmother's jewlery box and I loved that necklace. I almost started to cry I was so touched.

So I am tired (and about to cry actually *laughs*) and I have a long day ahead of studying and packing. Night readers. :)

P.S. I got The Point on DVD for my birthday so with that and L'Aubergene Espanol (which the study abroad folks need to see before they leave)...we need to have a movie night after I move back.
